SWITEK engineer is preparing for the final testing of the ball valve auto-production with the double arms robotic before delivery. The system will have the core/O Ring in mold insertiong, ball valve picking, gate sprue cutting and valve turning done automatically to help the ball valve producer reduce the man hours and increase the productivity of the system.
What's the meaning of investing an automation system in ball valve production? As a complex system which will need to have the core of the ball valve and the O ring inserted, the cost of the automation system would be a big amount to most of the producer of the ball valve. But why is the investment so IMPORTANT? The man hours.
I still remember my first time visiting of the pipe fittings producing factory in September, 2017 with our service engineer about two weeks after my joint of SWITEK. I suffered an immediate heat stroke as soon as I entered the workshop, the temperature around the injection molding machine would be more than 38°C, I can see some middle aged man and women working beside the injection molding machine to insert the brass and cut the gate runner manually, but no yong staffs available.
The core of "Made in China 2025" policy is "Smart Production" which will have most of the repeat works done by machine instead of human staffs to reduce the tension of labour hunting, which is how it's so difficult to "Made in USA", the labour cost is too high to have the groceries "Made in USA", but with an automation system and have the labour intensive works done by the machine, maybe it'll make the sologan of "Made in USA" come true.
To "make the lazybones lazier", an injection plant with automation system will help to attract the young people to work in the plant and it seems "cool" and "amazing" that the automation system will have everything done automatically while the worker will only need to press some buttons. Which would be the future of the "Manufacturing Economy" in any country.

What's Would be the Most Economic Way to Produce An IML Bucket With Handle?
As one of the most popular food package in the market, an IML pail with handle is in demand of huge quantity but the assembly of the handle make it a labour entensive products. Is there any solutions that will make the production of an IML bucket with handle automatically? The answer would definitely yes.
One of the most economic way would be to have the pails and handle integrated into one single mold, it could be 2 + 2 or 4 + 4 design which the IML robot will pick the buckets and have the handles assembled automatically. With this solution, the IML buckets producer will only need one set of IML system to have the buckets and handle produced and assembled immediately.
> It sounds great right, but what would be the productivity of such a system? In Chinaplas 2024 SWITEK cooperated with YIZUMI onshowed a 2 + 2 IML solution of 1L pails at the cycle time of around 7.5s. Generally the performance of the injection molding machine, the mold and the IML robot are all very important to make it a perfect IML system with handle assembly.
