SWITEK finished the in house testing of two cavities juice extractor cover top entry IML system for the production of juice extractor covery by the technology of IML.

The new system is an economic solution for thick wall products IML production. With SWITEK 3 axis servo injection robot SW7312DS as the core injection robot to finish the process of label picking, insertion, parts picking, the cost of the top entry IML solutions is much lower than its side entry counter parts.

The tips for a top entry IML solutions:

  • To ensure that the robot has sufficient payload, it's the core of a stable IML system
  • To ensure that the mould design is friendly to IML production. The mould structure for IML is different from the mould for parts of non-IML, an excellent mould design is the key to a successful IML system.
  • A top entry IML system is only suitable for a low speed system. Because a top entry IML system request that the 3 axis servo robot to do all the label picking, inserting, parts picking and droping of an IML system, it'll request a much longer in mold time compared to its counter part.
