Welltec in house testing their new two-color injection molding machine 160P in 8 cavities closures production.

The new two-tone injection molding machine by Welltec is optional with vertical, parallel, piggyback arrangements to accomodate multi-component, multi-color injection production. With the rotary platen controlled by servo motor and extra wide tie bar spacing, it's an ideal injection molding machine for the production of 2 color parts.

With 2 sets of independent injection units, the size of two tone injection molding machine will generally larger than a regular servo injection molding machine, it would be very important that when you're choosing a robot for this kind of injection molding machine ,the length of the traverse stroke would be much longer compared to the regular injection molding machine of the same clamping force. In this case the robot for Welltec 160p should be SWITEK 3 Axis servo injection robot SW6308DS-20.
